Candidates for Truth!

The Constitution Party's Chuck Baldwin questions 9/11

Pastor Chuck Baldwin, the Constitution Party's candidate for president, snagged his nomination in part because of his connections and friendship to Ron Paul, and his promise to carry on the rEVOLution. That makes it all the more disturbing when we see video of Baldwin indulging in 9/11 kookery. In this video, he first makes clear that he doesn't trust the conclusions of the Warren Commission, then speculates about the Twin Towers. (How this squares with his first post-9/11 theory, that God punished us by sending attackers, is a mystery to me.)
I don't know whether there was any kind of an inside apparatus involved in this or not... If there's duplicity involved in some kind of conspiracy, then let's find out who it is and prosecute whoever's involved.
Is it possible to spend too much time discussing this stuff? Sure. It's a fringe movement. But it's a fringe movement that has the potential to discredit Libertarians the way that the hobgoblins of the Birchers—water flouridation, etc—discredited the old right. At the LP Convention, I winced as all but three candidates partipated in a Truther debate. I winced again when I heard one delegation caucusing before the fourth presidential ballot, with every delegate given the chance to make the case for his/her candidate, and the Ruwart supporting delegate argued that only her candidate would investigate 9/11 Truth. I can't think of anything worse for libertarians than gibbering conspiracy theorists taking it upon themselves to speak for us.

I really fail to see how this is even close to "fringe" thinking. For one polls show that over half of the residents of NYC do not believe the governments story. Their story is so full of holes that any intelligent 5th grader can see the deception.

Look at the facts, they are clear, logical and irrefutable. We were not told the truth is the only conclusion that any sane person can come to.

Yeah, right! And we never landed on the moon!

mark | September 14, 2008, 2:52pm | #

and your only answer is we never landed on the moon?you lump all the crazy theories in with every question about 911 and that shows you have a serious problem with logical thinking. if you really studied what happened on 911 you would be asking serious questions and if you knew anything about how this criminal government operates you would know that they would not hesitate to pull something like 911 off. are you denying that operation northwood (the plan to blow up u.s. airliners in the early sixties and blame it on cuba existed?) its in the declassified u.s. government documents. this link came from wikipedia and so its not surprising that this site seeks to discredit chuck baldwin working through brainwashed media bots.

What a nut! I can see why he is a pal of Ron Paul (RuPaul).

2.) Can you see it?

99% of those who cringe when someone talks about 9/11 being an inside job or a controlled demolition fall under one of the following:

Either they:
- have not seen the evidence that has convinced the growing number of "Truthers"
- have no interest in the facts because they know it all already
- implicitly trust the media and believe the government would never lie to us
- have their head so deep in the sand and have for so long that the idea of removing it and learning something from analyzing the evidence (which is voluminous and beyond convincing) terrifies them more than the idea that a few "terrorists" were able to avert our air defense and with fire collapse 3 high-rise steel-framed buildings 2 of which were designed to withstand a more severe attack and something that had never before happened in World History

It is easy to ignorantly level crazy charges against those who believe contrary to mainstream thoughts but takes more than nerves to put your careers on the line and your reputation as well which is exactly what "Truthers" have done after witnessing the evidence and having their blinders removed.

Paulson wanted ZERO accountability for $700B to over $1.3T taxpayer dollars, you think it is beyond our government to kill a few thousand and demo some buildings to get their way?

Foolishness abounds in the midst of chaos.

Bill - great post!

The March 13th secret closed door meeting of the U.S. House of Representatives

Dennis Kucinich (below link) says that the proceedings of Congress should not be hidden from the American public -

http://curtmaynardsblog.blogspot.com...r-meeting.html

Evidently, this was what leaked out from the SECRET MEETING

1. The imminent collapse of the U.S. Economy to occur sometime in late 2008

2, The imminent collapse of the U.S. Government finances sometime in mid 2009

3. The possibility of Civil War inside the United States as a result of the collapse

4. The advance round-ups of “insurgent U.S. Citizens” likely to move against the government

5. The detention of those rounded up at The REX 84 Camps (Google them) constructed throughout the United States

6. The possibility of public retaliation against members of Congress for the collapses

7. The location of safe facilities for members of Congress and their families to reside during massive civil unrest

8. The necessary and unavoidable merger of The U.S. with Canada and Mexico establishing The North American Union

9. The issuance of a new currency called the AMERO for all three nations as an economic solution.

OTHER:

We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our (Bilderberg) meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries."

Not sure why no one would believe that man with his fallen nature would carry out 9/11-after all, supposedly Muslims have! Why not our own Govt or elements in it? Google Operation Northwoods

Google PNAC and Pearl Harbor

Stating it is "fringe" is deliberate attack on reasonable questions and answers.

Hitler staged things, soo to Nero, Mao, etc.

Original sin and Mans Fallen Nature is absent in the good Ol US of A??

Popular Mechanics is popular corporate media debunker-also, certain realtives of certain Homeland Security heads seem to work there, hmm.....

Non-thinking people like to use words like "fringe" "kook" "hookey", etc..one can rest at night at all is well with the world-at least here in the "land of the free"

I don't understand why Mr. Weigel was surprised by Chuck Baldwin's questions. Ron Paul is constantly doing interviews with Alex Jones. Hannity laughed at him, is there another conservative who is going to put his ideas out there after that? Nope. Ron Paul is forced to pander to truthers.

ABC | November 21, 2009, 6:07am | #

There's a difference between believing that the government covered things up in terms of screw-ups when it came to intelligence coordination pre-9/11, screw-ups when it came to the response to the attacks of 9/11, screw-ups when it came to providing adequate equipment to first responders which possibly led to some of them getting sick, and believing that it was some sort of inside job. Don't think it's unreasonable or kooky to believe that the government has covered up the fact that it screwed up in the area of national security and intelligence.

Re: Alex Jones. I prefer a guy whose nutty ideas involve conspiracy theories about old guys worshiping a giant owl than a guy whose nutty ideas involve eminent domain, taking away ones right to keep and bear arms, regulating business to death, and telling an individual what he can and cannot put into his body. The fact that Alex Jones is seen as more of a nutjob than the latter individual I described is depressing.
